Your Daughter Doesn’t Have to Wait to Achieve Her Dreams

One of the questions well meaning adults often ask our girls is, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” While there is nothing wrong with this question to get our girls thinking about the future and how to shoot for the stars, have you thought about the fact that your daughter doesn’t have to wait to achieve her dreams? She can start right now.

Recently, we hosted Reagan Nevels over in The Courage Academy for a Tuesday night live chat with our girls. Reagan is a 14-year-old inspirational influencer on a mission to help others discover and access their dreams. She is a motivational speaker who authored her first book at the age of 12. Vision Collision: Think. Write. Believe. Achieve offers a simple 4-step process to merge your dreams into a magnificent vision for your life.

Reagan said, “I’m trying to change the game. You don’t have to wait to be a certain age to accomplish your goals. You can do them now.”

Whatever goals and dreams your daughter has, no matter what age she is, there is nothing stopping her from taking a step towards making them a reality. Does she want to start a YouTube Channel? Kids with parental supervision are dominating already in that space. Is she a budding artist? She can put her artwork on Etsy or on your social media for others to view and purchase. The possibilities are really endless with a little dreaming and taking action.

Reagan suggests these 3 quick tips to get started:

  1. Get a notebook and write down your dream.
  2. Make a vision board. Fill it with ideas and what your dream will look like when you achieve. Put your vision board somewhere where you can see it every day.
  3. Take one step today to make your dream happen. That may be sharing your dream with your parents or talking with a teacher to see what you can do to move forward!

The good news is that when you start pursuing your dream early you get a head start and naturally become a game changer! “You don’t have to give up your happy fun kid life. I wrote my book when I was 11 but I still did fun things too!” Added Reagan.
